Stuyvesant Democrats

Lee Jamison - Candidate for Supervisor

I was born and raised on a Hudson Vally family dairy farm and am a 30-year resident of Stuyvesant. Working as Day Services Director at COARC for 12 years, I managed programs and budgets of $1 million.

The Town Supervisor also serves as our representative in the Columbia County legislature. I support County decisions that will provide prosperity for all – not just the well-connected. Why are County legislators prepared to vote for an airport real estate deal before gathering real facts about FAA requirements or FAA reimbursement policies? I'll get all the facts before agreeing to spend your money.

I support fair wages for good jobs. Outsourcing, privatizing and union-busting of County jobs must stop. Pine Haven Nursing Home services our neediest seniors and gives living wages to County breadwinners, and must be preserved.

I support regulations and inspections that protect our environment and our safety, and protect our election rights. Decades of one party rule at the Town level or at the County level need to change. We need diversity and, while we're at it, how about electing more women!
